Laurie, those of us watching from a distance cannot possibly know what you are going through. Reach out to your neighbors, they know you and the city.

Your family and congregation should be a source of comfort in your trials.

You may wish to contact Ken Shaw, a fellow Sneezer, who works downtown about your long-term concerns over safety. (Only a fool would not worry.)

My only admonition would be to hold your dreams closely.
Don't let these animals drive you into hiding.
Be heard, make music.
