Few months ago, I bought a vintage clarinet from eBay. I found one mouthpiece in the case but it was not noticeable. I put it in the drawer and forgot all of it. Yesterday, my friend who is repairman in local music store gave me a very old brillhart clarinet mouthpiece. I had to give him one mouthpiece for it. When I opened drawer, I found couple of unknown mouthpieces and tried them all. Oh boy! The one was in the vintage horn case, blows like custom mouthpiece. It sounds better than any Vandoren mpcs and as good as my Chedeville blank Buffet mpc(Chris Hill modified), even better. The mouthpiece has no brand, but “B” marked at right of the table, two hair lines on the body(top, bottom each). I have no idea but it just sounds great. Thank GOD!

I think it might be a Bettoney. I have one like it--very old, with no markings except a B at the right of the table, at the bottom. I was told mine is an old Bettoney, and some of them can be really excellent. Congrats!
