 Ligature and B45-Pro88

This is an add-on question to Katie's question about her B45-Profile 88.

I also have a B45 - Profile 88. But which ligature do you guys think I should use, in order to help bring out the sound quality of the reed and mcp?

I currently use Mit.Lurie # 2 reeds. And I use the Ligature that comes with my used yamaha. ( I don't even know who makes it.)

For this mouthpiece, let me suggest you step up to a Mitchell Lurie #3. This would be the lowest reed strength that the manufacturer recommends for this mouthpiece (i.e. the equivalent of a Vandoren 2.5).

I like the Rovner ligature on this mouthpiece. If that is too expensive for you, I also find that the Luyben gives a good sound.

I have the same mouthpiece and I like the Vandoren optimum and Bonade inverted.
