Tell me how it works out, I am looking to get an E-flat to go with my A and B-flat but I don't want to spend a fortune since I most likely won't be using the E-flat as much as the other two.

ClairGirl---I know what you mean about spending a fortune :) but if you just get a Buffet E-11 Eb clarinet then it isn't that much at all only around $900!!! I was really supprised but of course it is an E-11 not a R-13 Eb clarinet :)

Thanks again everybody!!!

I have a good Noblet Eb, pro-overhauled, but I still play it less-well than my LeB L7 or my Selmer bass. Wish I were young and strong again. Luck, Don

JMO ... but before I ran out & bought an (new) Buffet E-11 Eefer, I'd try & find a used YCL-681 or Selmer 9 Eefer. I own both. The Yamaha is a dynamite little horn. A nice Selmer 9 just passed on eBay in the mid 400's. Although the Seller didn't seem to know a lot, the price was right even if the horn had a problem or 3 (I'm guessing it did or that tghe seller had a strict "no-take-back" policy).

Good luck with the little bugger! Get ready to plug your ears- those things can hurt when you're just starting out but I'm sure you can make it sound great. :D

Have fun! Eefer can be a nasty little beastie (my cats did NOT appreciate it!) but can also be a lot of fun..I envy you :)
