Hi all
I hope everyone had a good holiday and New Year.
I am looking for (if it exists) material/exercise/scales that focus on primarily the altissimo range.
I restarted playing the clarinet after a 20 year break and have been making good progress on memorising my scales (major + minor up to 5 sharps/flats so far). I have been using the Albert scale method and have dipped into Baermann as this also moves into the Altissimo where Albert doesn’t.
I am finding my dexterity/muscle memory when it comes to the Altissimo fingerings as well as the voicing required for anything above F# needs some focussed work so I was wondering does any material exist in this area? I know I could create my own altissimo only scales/arpeggios in all the keys but figured I would ask in case something already exists.
Many thanks
Simon O’Brien
