So I bought a used grenadilla wood keyless Irish Flute
The bore has a funk smell, but not the cork
I assume the previous Player did not swab the Flute and thus has maybe some Bacteria or mold growth ( the Flute, not the Player )
Question, how do you get rid of the smell?
Ive used 70% Alcohol, Baking Soda and sweet Almond Oil the smell has only gone away alittle with these treatments
I'm leaving the Flute open to room air.
I've gotten rid of the soft sided case which smelled even worse!
So what to do next?
There is Sterisol, but I don't know if that can be used in a wood Bore :( Suggestions would be appreciated!
