The most soulful lament in Rose'

So I just read through the TMEA Allstate etude‘s this evening. Sometimes I just don’t know why they pick the ones that do. One from the caprices another from the first book of the rose 40 but then finally number 14 in D minor from the 32. I think I've pretty well worked over all of the slow Rose études over the years but somehow I find this one to be the most somber and dark of em all. What’s your nomination?
