That's the "problem" with Bonades. I like them except that they have to be the right size for the mouthpiece and reed, and have to be bent exactly right to work the way they are supposed to. Really what they should do is make the screw barrels longer to hold the sides away, and profile them a little on the inside to hold the shape of the "strap".

Try gently unbending the left side (of the picture) and gently bending the right side (the side you are holding). You may only have to unbend the left side a bit, the right may be ok. To unbend put a large magic marker or something inside and press once or twice at the apex with both thumbs. To bend put the outside (the strap part that's not soldered to the screw barrels - remove the screws) on a table and press with your thumbs (or with some kind of small diameter rod on the inside). You want the bend to be a little away from the screws, not right against them.

Don't think of it as "bending" it but just flex a few times. How much and how hard depends on the metal. You may find something else works better, but that's the goal - bending the screws and rails parallel to the reed table. Basically you are trying to get the rails level, and keep the "sides" away from the rails so that only the rails touch the reed.
