thanks for the info. i made a sleeve on a lathe and joined the bell and lower joint permanently. its too late to go back now as i used extremely strong epoxy, since its only a resonite clarinet -i felt this was a cost effective method. if it had been a really good wood horn-i would have sent it to someone. i used pvc pipe from a sprinkler line. having access to my friends lathe made this repair easy and a perfect fit and most importantly didnt change the bore dimensions.
