Re: Buffet Crampon Reeds - age?

They're just Vandorens with the Buffet logo printed on them. They'd put a box in with new Buffet clarinets and saxes and most were neglected.

They could usually be found in bargain bins in most woodwind specialists back then (mid '80s to late '90s when the B&H Group's colour was burgundy) along with Yanagisawa ebonite sax mouthpieces and other things that often got left behind when someone bought a brand new instrument, so well worth having a rummage through bargain bins and picking them up for very little.

Same with Selmer Soloist reeds which were also blue box Vandorens but with the Selmer logo screen printed on them.
