Check with someone who's actually qualified, but my understanding is that, if you're the only one handling or playing your clarinet, there's no reason to disinfect your mouthpiece or instrument because you can't infect yourself with your own germs.

(Yes, there was a story some years back about a person getting sick from bagpipes that hadn't been swabbed out in years. Different animal, different situation.)

Any microbiologists here care to chime in?
