Not much help from me, but I got a laugh out of the topic. I have maybe eight F. A. Uebel soprano clarinets (about equally split between Boehm and Oehler system), plus an Oehler-system bass, all of which date from the 1960s through very early 1980s (in other words, DDR-era). They're all holding up just fine, thanks!
You meant recently-manufactured Uebels? Surely there are more important things to worry about. As far as cracks, all cracks can be permanently fixed, and finished to be nearly invisible. This should not be a deal-breaker for any brand.
