Degrease the slot and the steel saddle, then add a small drop of superglue to the slot and using a magnetic screwdriver, pop it back in and push it down.

I've often replaced the sheet steel saddle with a 2.4mm diameter stainless steel pin or disc set flush into the slot with the face burnished to a mirror finish. Another thing that can be done is mill a slot and set a piece of appropriately shaped flat spring into that (with a drop of superglue) and that won't slide out.

Because of the location of the open G vent being directly below the throat A touchpiece, the throat A key flat spring is limited in its length and the tip is often only just beyond the pivot point making the action a pain to set up. I worked on a C/Bb/A set of Schwenk&Seggelke clarinets where the open G vent was a side key linked to the LH1 ring key, so there was loads of room directly under the throat A touch for a nice long flat spring to run, pretty much as seen on German and Oehler systems (as open G issues from the thumb hole on them).
