I do know this - This is not the old Ched types from the 1950's era. I've measured a lot of these. Don't spend a lot of money on this. These are still decent mouthpieces but not from that old mold. When Lelandais bought the Chedeville company the molds were destroyed. This is all I know for sure.
I can add this. The names Chedeville and Kaspar are copyrighted so no one can use these names for the next several years. Most of us will be long gone when the copyrights become available. This is just sad! The jerk that did this was a sick freak. Since he wasn't able to make a decent mouthpiece he just copied the name so he could use the Chedeville name. He also charges way too much. The present Chedeville's are not good at all, in fact horrible. Now the mouthpieces sold as Chedeville are horrible. Not even close to the real ones that were made starting in the 1940's.
The early Kaspar's were from Ched blanks, modified a bit. These were the Cicero and some Chicago Kaspar's. The Ann Arbor Kaspar's were not from Chedeville blanks. People still like the Ann Arbor models. I think they are a tad bit bright.
Feel free in emailing me for more details. Just be careful with what you buy.
