Yeah, the rails, tip and side, are wider than the one I play on. I got a black 10K over the Internet a couple years ago, and it had wide rails and was too restrictive for me to play on. I had the delightful opportunity a couple months ago to try out eight or nine Fobes mouthpieces with the facing length and opening I usually play on, both 10K and Zinner, and ended up with the lone blue 10K, which is quite a lot different from the one I had before. It was a surprise; I mentioned the other one, and he said the 10Ks have changed noticeably over time. The new one has rails roughly similar to the Europas, and all the 10Ks I tried recently had similar rails to the Zinners. He also said that the blue material seems to have different acoustic properties, and has become one of his most popular offerings. Mine continues to be outstanding, and popular in groups. The tuning's also great. An important takeaway, though, is that there's no substitute for trying out a lot of them in person.
