There was an article/study I found a few years ago on the internet that I can’t seem to find. It was a very interesting study on how the shape of a person’s oral cavity directly affects clarinet tone. It had a few diagrams on the different types of cavity shapes, and I don’t think the article was very recent. I believe it may have also discussed shape of lips/tongue and their effects as well.
I think I had accidentally stumbled on the pdf while looking up articles to help me with my anchor tonguing at the time, if that is helpful. (I corrected my articulation between then and now, thank god!)
It was a very interesting read and I would really like to find it again. If anyone knows where I can find it, please let me know.
