The reviewer’s comments reflect my own very positive experience trying out these instruments in the Hansons’ kitchen! There are plenty of pros, well covered in the article. Cons? Hard to say, except perhaps that the relatively unknown brand name might affect their resale prospects, but if you’re in for the long term that shouldn’t matter much. I ultimately didn’t buy one, but have regularly recommended their student instruments as a better value alternative to the mass produced brands. Hanson also have a thorough after sales service for repairs, adjustments and maintenance, although admittedly that’s less attractive if you’re not based in the UK.
