I have an older BAM double trekking case. It is very bulky, lots of padding around the instrument which is good for both physical and temperature protection. As a backpack with both shoulder straps I find it uncomfortable for my size (6'). I walked with it once for 15 minutes and hated it.
On your back while riding a bicycle I think it is too bulky. I never liked riding a bike with a heavy backpack because it puts the weight center too high, and as a teenager that used a bicycle all the time, I had my clarinet strapped to a rear rack in a very rugged case.
But that is a subjective assessment and only you can tell what works for you.
There are 2-3 offerings for double cases, mass produced. I'd order all the options from a retailer with a good return policy and keep the one that works best.
