2 years is not really much of a sample for a company that has been making reeds for 21 years. Why shouldn't they have designs that vary?
Where vandoren is concerned, there are considerable design variations that you are unable to appreciate without accurate measuring devices. Changes of .1mm can be "felt" by an experienced player, but are impossible to detect with the naked eye.
I am not too keen on the Euro Sig, but have never experienced an embouchure leak when testing/playing these reeds. Time for more practise methinks.
