I bought one recently. It is a beautiful instrument that plays very well in tune. You have a choice of Grenadilla or Conduru which is a reddish Brazilian wood appropriate for woodwinds. Conduru's density, mechanical and acoustical properties are generically close to Grenadilla. However, I find the Conduru one plays a bit sweeter than the Grenadilla which is more powerful.
The instrument plays evenly through the whole range and throat tones are quite nice, with a balanced timbre. Tuning problems in this region are minor and can be easily controlled by the musician. It is probably the same or even better than my R13 Prestige.
I guess the main point of attraction of the Fluency model is a double register mechanism which I have never seen before. It was developed through hard research and as a consequence, twelfths are quite good.
Devon and Burgani are quite dedicated to the task of developing a high-profile clarinet in Brazil. They are innovators, work hard and their production is quite small, always striving to survive in a market that can be very competitive. In fact, I believe they deserve special attention from the clarinet community around the world.
In case you are interested you may have a look at https://www.facebook.com/devoneburgani/. Even though it is in Portuguese you will see pictures and samples of people playing.
