Hi Ben,
It's a good horn. The mouthpiece is OK, but I'd make a switch. She can wait a bit and if your daughter is taking lessons see what her teacher says.
Often a refurbed horn can actually be in worse condition as so many people stink at repairing. This is considered a warm sounding.
Those were the downsides. The good parts are this is a good horn. She should get many years of enjoyment out of this. But again have an advanced player or her teacher play it to make sure there are no leaks from the pads and the joints. If so, this kills any enjoyment because of the horn squeaking.
Added who wants a used mouthpiece. It may have dents and scratches on it. Get a decent one, but avoid Vandoren M series. They are too long in length and may not play in tune.
Also get a mouthpiece with a smaller tip opening. You can email me for suggestions and mouthpieces that won't cost you a ton of money.
If you can't find anyone to check out your horn sent it to me at no charge. Just $7 for shipping. If it needs repair I'll do it at no cost.
