Hi folks,
I was just wondering if anybody has information on the Jupiter Parisienne clarinet, model number JCL-931. Specifically when it came out and how long it was being produced for. So far what I have gathered is that it was Jupiter's top end offering at one point, I'm just not sure how long ago that point was.
I thought I'd ask as I picked one up some time ago secondhand for around the equivalent of $80 USD, and got it fixed up by a technician. It's been sitting around but with my Backun Alpha out for repairs I've been using it a lot more and it's been an absolute gem. It has a nice sweet, focused tone, especially when paired with the Pereira 3d barrel I have, and a really nice feel blowing into it (perhaps I'm referring to the resistance?), although being a wood horn, it's a fair bit heftier than I'm used to.
Anyways, if anybody knows a thing or two about this model they can share then that would be great. Thanks!
