Reading that post and the referenced website in conjunction with seeing some of the advertising that's been showing up on Facebook for me, it has me wondering-
How well would it work out to disinfect/sanitize stuff like reeds and mouthpieces using one of the devices assocated to disinfection/sanitization of CPAP machines? The two kinds I've seen are:
Ones that emit ozone to kill germs etc...and it runs ozone through your machine and against your CPAP mask (I think you put the mask in an enclosed bag...which is where I was theorizing you could put mouthpieces/reeds/whatever) or...
One where you put the mask and/or your water chamber into a drawer that closes and you expose the equipment to UV-C(?) light to kill germs. The advertising says you can put other stuff into the drawer to sanitize those as well.
Anyway, I own neither of those devices but the thought of sanitizing stuff using one of those devices did intrigue me. Has anyone tried it and seen if exposure to ozone or UV light damages mouthpieces and reeds?
