Well, while listening to the recording with a cheap headset, to me the tone was really quite pure, the timber of connecting notes were the same, the staccato notes sounded sharp and crisp, and the upper clarion tones did not thin out but held the same tonal density as lower clarion tones.

I must admit...I enjoyed listening to it.

Edit: I did a little more research and it appears the TJ3 Zinner mouthpiece is being played in the music sample I provided. http://www.johnsonclarinetmp.com/orderform.html
