I played a new "store demonstrator" Backun Protege once that was awful ... a look at the bore and it was all chewed up. My theory is that someone got a swab stuck in the bore and panicked, going to extreme and destructive means to remove it ...

I mostly play hard rubber and greenline clarinets, so bores stay nice and smooth ...
