To clear up any confusion, I emailed John Yeh and he kindly replied that in this performance of the Weber Quintet "I used a Yamaha SEV-KF model, I believe this is what they call the Artist Model these days. The KF model was very colorful and light for Solo and chamber music purposes. I loved it when I first tried it. I believe [the] CSVR clarinets have a slightly deeper and more stable sound, able to project well [in the] orchestra."
The Yamaha SEV-KF model was never available in the US. It was designed in collaboration with Japanese clarinetist Kazuo Fujii. Before Yeh switched to the Yamaha CSVR, the SEV-KF was his main clarinet.
