 Gurgling with Legere

Would cane reeds (being hygroscopic and absorbent) reduce water accumulation and gurgling from the mp. I am currently using Legere and being a plastic reed does nothing to absorb condensation. Before playing, I try to warm up the clarinet a bit by holding the top joint/barrel/mp in my hands for a few minutes. But I still seem to get gurgling after about 10 minutes (sometimes less) so I take the mp off, tap it on my knee to expel the water, swab the clarinet and then carry on with my practice. My thinking is cane should hold some of that water. Have any of you noticed plastic reeds more prone to gurgling?

Thanks to all who reply.

Luc
