Cover the pins with either pad skin (which isn't 'fish skin' at all) or cut the corners off those small self sealing plastic bags, add a drop of thick oil to the pin, slip the bits of plastic over the pins and replace them.
Another thing that can be done is if there's enough metal in the connecting levers is to ream them out wide enough to take the extra thickness of thin Teflon or heat shrink tubing.
Or if you really want to, open up the holes to 2.4mm then drill out the ends of the LH levers to 1.8mm and fit Buffet nylon pins, but reinforce the pins with steel so they won't break. Then you'll just have to add a drop of thick oil to the pins every now and then.
