Hi everyone,
I saw an ad for the Noblissima on that auction site for the first time around a week ago. Since there weren't any specifics mentioned and, as stated above, it's not listed on Ridenour's home web site, I made an inquiry to Ted basically wanting to know how it differed from the 576bc. Here is Ted's direct response for which I received written permission to reveal:
"The handful of Noblissima's we have in the current batch are basically 576bc's in an inexpensive case with one barrel. The long term intent of the Noblissima is to offer it to students for between $575 and $675 with a non adjustable thumb rest, skin pads in the upper joint, a standard register key, one barrel, and the plastic case.
The ones we have right now are sort of a limited time offer. I think we have 12 or so left. Hope this answers your question." Ted R.
In a second email to me Ted stated:
"It's really the same clarinet as the 576bc except for the case and one barrel instead of two. It's going to be geared towards students if we go into full production and will be scaled down some more but.....for now it's very similar." Ted R.
I hope some of you find the above useful.
