On taking the clarinet apart I found the cork ring the barrel goes onto was loose and turns. Case humidity reads 64%. Clarinet about 2.5 years old and never serviced.
What really happened is, the notes were good all the way up to A6 - right on.
Then I went to disassemble and the barrel was stuck - would not turn. Then it came off and I found the cork would rotate. I may take it to tech even if OK tomorrow as it may need oiling or something.
