E5 4th space in staff (or do you mean E6?)

First, make sure the register hole is not clogged.

The appropriate reed strength depends on the mouthpiece, but a 3 should be reasonable for most mouthpieces. Could you be biting as you go higher, shutting off the air?

You should know what E5 sounds like. Does your note sound like that? If so, your tuner is bad.

I assume your C5 and D5 are good. Try slurring up the scale from C5.
