I started that Yahoo group 15+ years ago.
A smooth curve would be better than the wavy one. You should also include the tip opening on your plot. Put the tip opening in the feeler size column and use a glass gage reading of zero if you measure at the very tip or ~1 if you measure inside the tip rail.
There are many curve shapes that work well...and many that do not. Start by measuring and graphing as many mouthpieces as you can. Then note the shapes of the ones you and other players like vs the ones that are not great.
I also think it helps to measure finer than the nearest whole number on the glass gage. Try for the nearest .5 at least. I go to the nearest .1 but I have great close vision. You do not need to go this fine to do good work.
