I recently ordered an inverted Bonade ligature and cap for my bass clarinet (via Amazon since I had gift cards; shipped separately as they were from 2 different suppliers). The cap arrived today and I realized that I somehow ordered a regular instead of inverted. I went to look for an inverted bass cap and can't seem to find one anywhere.
Do they exist? I'm guessing the regular cap won't work with the inverted ligature, but I won't know for sure until the ligature arrives. Cap looks a little out of round anyway on the side (it was shipped in a padded envelope, so I'm surprised it wasn't crushed), so it may not work regardless. I looked in all the obvious places I buy accessories, but no luck.
Suggestions? Finding ligatures that hold Legeres securely to my Fobes Debut mouthpiece has been a challenge. My Rovner Eddie Daniels doesn't get tight enough to prevent excess movement, especially with Legere Signature reeds. The Bonade inverted works on my Bb clarinet with Signatures, so I figured it would work on bass as well.
