A legendary teacher I had said that, if he liked the way a reed played on his mouthpiece, he would leave it there till the next rehearsal without moving it. In this 50-70% humidity climate, reeds often play the next day without wetting them again. However, I prefer to not have a reed sticking to the mouthpiece, even if it plays ok without wetting.
