Mozart Quintet - Cello part

This isn't really a clarinet-related question, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here, since it concerns clarinet repertoire and maybe someone else has run into the same issue.

I'm playing the Mozart Clarinet Quintet with a string quartet I got together from my youth orchestra.
In the first cello solo of the 1st movement, there's a note that always sticks out to me and the cellist as sounding odd. The note in question is the 4th eighth note of measure 28. It's marked in the cello part and the score as an A#, but it definitely sounds as though it should be an A natural, and I've heard it played both ways in recordings by well-known clarinetists/string quartets. Anyone have any thoughts on the correct pitch? We'll probably just go with A natural.
