I'm finding the information on metal clarinets interesting.

I ran across a metal "Victory" in a local music shop and bought it for $40.00

It was sent out to a local repair shop with a request for a quote on refurbishment. They came back with the answer "it's not worth fixing". It is badly tarnished, but polishes up nicely, needs a new set of pads, new corks, and some spings. How do I go about finding a repair person willing to work on the non-standard?
