I tried a Schreiber mouthpiece today designed with the help of Roger W. McKinney. It is the MCK 1 (MR). This particular mouthpiece was made of an acrylic composite material that is translucent blue with gold flecks in it (yeah, I know) and has metal rings at the top and bottom of the tenon (this feature I like). Despite looking like something a 10th grader would use to play a "Frozen" medley, the dern thing felt and sounded AMAZING !!!!! This particular facing is close to a 5RV Lyre (easy to play, focused and yet you can just pour gobs of air down it).
Has anyone one else here tried one?
