 Older Ridenour Lyrique Clarinets

Hello all,
So after much thought and consideration I decided to splurge on A Ridenour Lyrique 576-BC clarinet. The instrument was not purchased in person so I do not know how well it plays yet, but I was able to see some pictures of it. The one thing that I noticed about it was that it is one of the older models that has the "Artist Model" above the logo. I have heard a few people say that the earliest 576s had problems such as soft key work and lower quality. Can anybody confirm or deny this?
Thank you all in advance.
