It's really NOT a sonic equivalent in my opinion, but for a decent second best, I would say you could get away with Legere Quebec cut reeds of the same strength designation. They are about as much as a box of reeds, but they should last somewhere from three to six months each (I would still rotate a few at a time though). That makes them, at very least, three times cheaper than cane.
