Yeah, it's true...I WAS.
Several publishers presented with drafts then told me that 'musicians just don't read books'.
"But, if you incorporated what you want to say in a tutor that teachers around the world could recommend their pupils to buy, then we'd have sales. Otherwise, it's a no-go."
I wasn't really writing for beginners. So I started writing here.
Now, my experience leads me to suppose that the publishers were right, by and large. I find myself pretty much the only one who wants to point out the rubbishy nature of some of the rubbish that some people write here.
The other experts – like Liquorice, say – just don't want to get involved, it seems.
So _I_ get to be the bad guy – the one who 'takes against' people like Roger Garrett, Ken Shaw...and so on.
So it goes.
