Selmer Clarinet

I am helping a friend with his Grandfather's Selmer Clarinet. No one in the family has an interest in learning to play and they are wondering what the value of the clarinet might be.

I've taken a good look at and don't find any cracks or repairs, I'm sure it needs a going over, new pads etc. to bring it to playing condition. I have some photos that I have attached. Still have the original case but it is in rough condition but it has the Selmer logo embossed on the blue felt lining. It says Henri Selmer, 4 Place Dancourt Paris. The serial number is 2456, it is missing the mouthpiece.

Any comments or information about this clarinet are welcom. Thank you in advance for your advice and help.
