Greetings. New to the forum, located in Alberta, Canada. I am interested in learning how to play the Clarinet.
SORRY, I JUST STUMBLED ACROSS A REFERENCE TO VITO. IT APPEARS THEIR CLARINETS ARE PLASTIC, AND WIDELY USED BY STUDENTS AND SCHOOL BANDS.

It's an old Leblanc Vito. Today the Vito is a plastic student instrument, but earlier they were wood and were quite a decent intermediate level instrument. I used to have one and preferred it to an E11

It's clearly a Vito, but not all that old. The logos are in good shape and do not appear to have been renewed. It is definitely newer than the Reso-tone series which was plastic. On the other hand, they have quite a stable response and make excellent starter instruments.

Thanks for the feedback. Was the model 7214 ever made in wood? I thought this one was grained like wood, but on closer inspection with a loupe magnifier, I am pretty certain it is some manner of plastic/resin based material. A couple of scratches and dents show the "bubble, raised edge" look characteristic of plastic.
Cheers!

That's definitely a plastic one with the wood effect finish - it's the same as the 'Dazzler' models but in black.
If you look in the sockets and down the bore, it'll be shiny.
