Hello!

Im looking at buying two new toscas and its been quite hard to find an average price. I live in Perth, Australia.

How much has everyone bought theirs for? Both individually and as a pair?

Thanks :)

I already own a Bb and I bought that for $6,900 in 2010.

Brisbane Brass and Woodwinds quoted that:
Bb is $6,900
A is $7,900
as of last Saturday when I was looking at them with a friend.

See if you can't milk a discount from whoever you are buying them off if you are buying them as a pair, but good luck with that!

Richard.

The Divine is even more expensive still and around the same price as a new pro level oboe. Somehow I personally can't justify spending that amount on a soprano clarinet - I paid less for my Prestige bass and basset horn (individually) than the cost of a Divine!

I last saw them at Music & Arts retailers at $6178 for the B-flat and $6457 for the A... I got my B-flat in 2010 for the lower price ($5850?) before Buffet increased their prices this year.

I know this is off topic, but Chris... what is it about the Divine that makes it worth so much? (I'm guessing $8000 ish?) That's crazy!

There are some differences like carbon fiber socket rings instead of metal on the Tosca, Greenline tone holes, etc. Also the Tosca is based on the R13 and the Deivne on the RC.

clarnibass

Thanks for the update. The RC's I tried out were a bit bright. Is it me or do others of you feel the same?
