I graduated from college this past year, and now I'm in a new city for grad school. One of my friends from my old university band has moved to the same city, but she's no longer in school. She wants to keep playing her clarinet for fun, but she tells me that her landlady said that she can't practise in her apartment. So my friend asked me if people unaffiliated with my school can use the practice rooms on our campus. The answer is definitely no: every practice room here is locked and you need a student ID to get in. I want to give her more help than just saying "well, unfortunately not"…does anyone have any advice about what they would do (or have done) in her situation?
