I just got an older Vito V40 that's in good shape. When I play an Eb (just above middle C) by using my right first finger on the bottom trill key, if I push the trill key very far it hits the bridge piece below it, which then tries to push my left second finger up off the tonehole. I hope this is making sense the way I'm describing it. When I push the bottom trill key on my other clarinet, it doesn't hit the bridge piece.
I can play the Eb as long as I'm careful not to push the trill key too far, but on my other clarinet I don't have to worry about pushing it too far. Is this normal on a V40 for the trill key to bump into the bridge piece beneath it? Or has my bridge piece gotten bent upward and needs to be fixed?
