I agree, if it works go for it. I know several pro's that use one barrel for both Bb and A but most use different ones. I play a Selmer Signature Bb and Buffet R13 A so I need two different barrels, I use a Backun 67 on my Buffet A and a Backun 62.5 on my Selmer. You could contact Backun, or one of the other barrel makers, and ask them to send you several barrels that they think will works with your Selmer 9*. The best way to find what works best for you is to try several. ESP http://eddiesclarinet.com
