Try playing your C#6 with just the first finger, no thumb or register key. You can also play a quick D6 with no fingers--just for your fingering bag of tricks.

Those are the fingerings I use when I play the solo clarinet part second strain of "On Wisconsin"--they make Bucky proud....LOL
