I know you will think I am crazy, but does anyone know where I can find Charpen reeds? I don't think they are made any more.

musicyellowpage.com gives the following:

Charpen Reed Co. 718 424-8115

I don't think the listing is outdated. Try giving them a call to find local area distributors.

Are those the crazy reeds with the hole drilled in the middle of the bark? I remember them from my youth --- they never worked well for me.

The hole is about a half inch in diameter right above the bark in the lower part of the heart.
