I met Pamela Weston 20 years ago. I had the privilege to play for her in a master class and later the opportunity to talk to her for a few hours over wide ranging Clarinet scholarship issues.

A lovely lady with deep knowledge. I remember her enthusiasm for the performances of Fred Thurston. She preferred them over the performances of many modern players.

I am saddened to hear news of her passing. My condolences go to her friends and relatives.
