 ?Getzen Bass Clarinet
Author: Don Berger

I acquired it from my fav. pawn shop, no name/ser #, only Getzen on the case's handle !! Its a "plastic" [hard rubber prob.] single body, looks like good quality workmanship. Its keying is nearly the same as on my Selmer-Paris 32/33 Model, namely artic. C#/G#, alt. Ab/Eb left L F lever and low Eb. It has the "Leblanc type" of pinch Bb tone hole/pad and linkage and only [dern it] a single register vent high on the "U J". Its barely playable at this stage, several ? pads, and some frozen pivot rods, but will respond to TLC, I believe. A "project" horn ! All thots, maker's description [Malerne?] et al will be greatly appreciated, D S and other "bassers" TKS, Don

Thanx, Mark, Don
